Our time in the States seems so long ago. It was not just “awhile” ago, more like a planetary system or a hyperspace jump ago. Since then we have gotten the boys sleeping again, gotten Myles settled back into preschool, met up with all our besties that we missed like the sun misses the rain, and tried to get our loads of laundry down to one (I think we still have twelve). Oh, and we just got back from Cape Town, where we submitted to become permanent residents in The Republic of South Africa. It was a big moment and I have no pictures. I had to sacrifice the camera and leave it behind. Something I never do, but I threw my neck out training with the hot moms and could not carry the baby, the baby bag and the camera bag. Something had to go, and while I wanted it to be the baby, that just would have been downright cruel, so I left the camera and I whimpered a little as I left the house.
I do however have as many photos to sort through as I do dirty laundry! This is a photo from Myles’ pirate party right before we left the USA. This is one little pirate that was fed up. Arrrrgg.
